Creativity is inspiring

Cre­ativ­i­ty is so inspir­ing. Take time to read broad­ly, lis­ten, and read about oth­ers who are creative.

I was recent­ly inspired by James Pat­ter­son in his book James Pat­ter­son by James Pat­ter­son in which he speaks about the val­ue of out­lin­ing his sto­ries and hav­ing more than one sto­ry being writ­ten at a time — he does­n’t get writer’s block.

Cres­si­da Cow­ell shared her gift of imag­i­na­tion at the Hen­ley Lit­er­ary Fes­ti­val, which I watched online. She has so many ideas for sto­ries and when you lis­ten to her, you hear her love and pas­sion for writ­ing sto­ries for children.

Both of these authors so strong­ly believe in encour­ag­ing chil­dren’s lit­er­a­cy (besides writ­ing a great book) — a val­ue I share. I encour­age you to find those who aspire to be the best in your cre­ative field and appre­ci­ate what they have to teach you. Best wish­es in your work. JNC
