Creativity is so inspiring. Take time to read broadly, listen, and read about others who are creative.
I was recently inspired by James Patterson in his book James Patterson by James Patterson in which he speaks about the value of outlining his stories and having more than one story being written at a time — he doesn’t get writer’s block.
Cressida Cowell shared her gift of imagination at the Henley Literary Festival, which I watched online. She has so many ideas for stories and when you listen to her, you hear her love and passion for writing stories for children.
Both of these authors so strongly believe in encouraging children’s literacy (besides writing a great book) — a value I share. I encourage you to find those who aspire to be the best in your creative field and appreciate what they have to teach you. Best wishes in your work. JNC
